Applying filters to the GL balances file created by the GL extract can reduce load times significantly. This allows more frequent and timely loading, particularly at period end.

As GL data is typically loaded into OFA intermittently, this means that during the month end OFA does not always reflect the latest adjustments to GL. SDMC has developed routines to enable any OFA user to quickly update their view of GL data, so that OFA reports reflect the latest GL position. This enables OFA to be used for “pre-close” reporting.
